DRIVE TO STAY ALIVE: Alliance Movement Issues Vital Advisory on Speed, Patience, and Road Safety

A Call for Patience and Protection

By  Alliance Movement

Dear Fellow Citizens,

As the National Body of the Alliance Movement, we extend our warmest Compliments of the Season to you and your families. During this period of increased travel and busy roads, we are issuing a vital plea for safety, focusing on a virtue often forgotten behind the wheel: Patience.

The Power of Patience on the Road

The road is a shared space, and during the festive rush, it can become a place of high stress. We strongly advise every driver that patience is your greatest safety gear. * Avoid the "Rush" Trap: A few minutes saved by aggressive overtaking or speeding is never worth the lifetime of grief caused by a collision.

  • Manage Your Temper: Road rage and impatience lead to poor decision-making.1 If you encounter a slow driver or a traffic bottleneck, breathe and remain calm. Your emotional state dictates your driving safety.

  • Respect the Flow: Large volumes of traffic are inevitable this season. Expect delays, plan your journeys earlier, and accept that arriving safely is the only successful outcome of any trip.

Strict Adherence to Safety Protocols

We reiterate that all citizens must abide strictly by the Road Safety Rules and Regulations. These are not options; they are life-saving requirements.

  • Zero Speeding: Speed kills. Maintain a moderate pace regardless of how clear the road looks.

  • Total Compliance: Obey traffic wardens, respect road signs, and ensure your vehicle is in peak condition before embarking on any journey.

A Shared Responsibility

Accidents are preventable when we prioritize human life over haste. The Alliance Movement stands with you in the hope of a tragedy-free season. Let us complement the festivities with a commitment to order, discipline, and care for our fellow travelers.

The Alliance Movement sends Compliments of the Season to all! As you travel:

  1. Be Patient: Don't let the holiday rush turn into a tragedy. A patient driver is a safe driver.

  2. No Speeding: Speeding reduces your control. Slow down and stay alert.

  3. Obey the Rules: Strict adherence to Road Safety Regulations is mandatory to minimize accidents.2

Your destination is more important than your speed. Arrive alive!
